What can men do?
Men can do so much to help lower the risk of sexual assault. What men can do is
Clear the A.I.R.
o Acknowledge:
§ No means no. Understand what your partner expects, if they say no at any point, you must stop. Even if you’re in a relationship.
o Influence:
§ Talk to your peers to prevent any incident from happening.Making jokes about sexual assault blurs the lines with what is okay. Encourage to people to accept that sexual assault and rape related jokes are not appropriate.
o Report:
§ Don’t be afraid to intervene. It’s better to check in with a situation that doesn’t seem right, than to realize someone has been sexually assaulted later.
